Having a baby is one of life’s biggest transitions, it can bring an emotional shift that sees you reflecting into your own childhood and focusing on what kind of parent you will be, how will your life change, how can you make it the best possible experience.

I love information sharing and believe that knowledge leads to better outcomes for women and their families. I meet you during your pregnancy to discuss lots of things from whooping cough to breastfeeding and work closely with Dr Bogiatzis to provide an experience that’s well informed and supportive to your decision-making.

Your mental health is as important as your physical health which is why we discuss this regularly and put support in place if needed, all care is individualised to give you the best care when you need it.

I highly recommend this app for pregnancy support with the appropriate mental health support at all stages of your pregnancy

Research has shown that continuity of care throughout pregnancy has a positive impact on mothers and babies. I can provide a familiar face which helps you transition to parenthood through a positive experience.

Skin to Skin Contact

Skin to Skin Contact

There is a lot of positive research that supports mothers and babies being together skin to skin (baby naked, or in a nappy, placed against the mother’s bare chest) straight after birth, uninterrupted, for at least an hour or longer if time allows.

Keep your Cool

Keep your Cool

Manage the heat with these simple tips and stay cool this summer. During pregnancy, your core temperature is slightly higher than normal due to fluctuating hormones and increased blood volume. Add into the mix a hot and humid day and you can quickly become uncomfortable.
